Just wanted to draw your attention to the fact that it is Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day today. There’s a blog post on our website Search Results | Breast Cancer Now
It’s the first time it’s been recognised in the UK, having previously taken place in Canada and the US.
Surely health and safety have not stopped us donating our prostheses to others- I believe women in the developing world need them desperately- but my breast reconstruction nurse tells me UK Health & safeth changes means we can no longer doante prostheses to charities for recycling. Can anyone help me with this? Mine are still good- but with reconstruction I no longer need them. I do not want them to go into landfill- and my bin men would get a fright!!
