Brilliant news

Wanted to share my great news with you have got tn breast cancer to lungs have had 2 cycles of chemo ct scan wed bcn just rung me to say one side as reduced by 70 percent and other side 50 percent and I’ve only had 2 can’t believe it so all the other ladies out there don’t give up hope Laura x

Laura, that is great news!! xxx

Great Laura and just to encourage you further after my first chemo my lymph nodes reduced by the second they were down to nothing ive had a complete clinical and pathological response. This is looking good for you great great news.

Laura,
Thats great news! So pleased for you -keep it up!
Lots of love Julie x

PS. Don’t know if you saw the post but there is another Sussex Secs meeting on Tues, 12.30 at West Quay, Brighton Marina, if you’re up to it though know treatment might make that not possible

Great stuff! Long may it continue!

Just to add my experience: Multiple/widespread liver mets in Jan 2010, May 2011 no obvious tumour activity. Results much slower for me … After 6 cycles of capecitabine, it didn’t seem to be working too well (some new tumours as well as a bit of reduction) but we stuck with it and the chemo kept nibbling away by about 2-3mm on my largest measurable tumour at each 3month scan. Then a sudden big bite between end of Feb and end of May.

Hope is so important.

Wonderful news Laura!

KL - you seem to be like me with Capecitabine - “stable” after 2 cycles but not reduction in size of 4 tumours. Have another CT scan on Monday so am hoping for some reduction but I can still feel something in liver area so your story gives me hope. Feeling stronger and not so tired so am hoping that’s a good sign.

Hi Laura and all!

Really pleased about your brilliant news, Laura! Excellent too about the other good results on this thread. We all need to hear this sort of news - helps keep morale up!

All the best, Sarah x

Hi Laura and everyone else.

Excellent news, In Sep 2008, I was DX with bone and liver mets. I had two on my liver. After chemo, one had disappeared completely and the other reduced significantly in size. Touch wood still no progression, hoping to get the remaining little blighter zapped.

Hope my story inspires you a bit more.

Alex
