Can anyone provide advice. I am a year out of treatment - the full works including mastectomy and reconstruction and all the lymph nodes taken(donor site was my tummy). I have been fine and been careful with my arm, however, at the weekend I tried (probably foolishly) to pull out a rotary dryer from the garden (which was in concrete). The next day, I noticed my reconstructed breast was ‘discoloured’/faintly reddish bruised all down the inside and at the top. Also what appears to be a couple of small burst blood vessels. I don’t know if this is as a result on my over exertions on my arm or something else. I have rubbed arnica cream on today to see if this helps but should I go to the doctor or contact the hospital if it doesn’t go away and how long should I wait.
Call the specialist reconstruction nurse just to put your mind at rest.
