How have you found the treatment here Lezignac2? Do you think its pretty much the same as in UK?

What chemo are you on and how often? Mine is every 3 weeks and I am on Taxotere x 4 (had 2) and then something else but not sure which x 4.
My experience yesterday was that my Oncology unit seems to close on weekends and bank holidays so it leaves me wondering what I am supposed to do at those times if I have a worry/ache or pain or something that is not usual happen. How do you find it?
Anyway its good to be in touch with someone who is not so far away, and of course all the other ladies on here are very helpful too.
My treatment has been okay, I didn’t have chemo here, in UK, but have had three op’s here and rads. now on Arimidex and had Paget’s diagnosed in March, so had nipple and surrounding all off in May and there is still some cancer there, so been referred to the breast cancer wing in a hospital in Toulouse for 2nd opinion, so off there on Friday.
I was lucky in UK as I was in Guildford and my firm had BUPA, so no waiting etc. Here it’s so quick for appt’s and results, often wonder if it would be good to wait to take things in before going ahead with treatment.

Once I was ill over a weekend and just went to the duty doctor who was good, and then straight to hospital on the Monday.
Will let you know how I get on Friday, and we’re back in UK end Aug, I’m catching up with my Onc there, so he’ll be interested to see how his recon has been hacked about now…!
