Hi lovelies;
Not been on here for a very long time. Had a mastectomy for stage 1b Bca almost 3 years ago (pr/er positive her2- and no nodes) mastectomy due to being multifocal all tiny.
Everything been going ok - tamoxifen grew me a lovely uterine polyp which can’t be removed (they tried under hysteroscopy) due to stenosed cervix so ive had a few mri’s but it seems stable and not getting any bigger, stopped tamoxifen tried letrozole but the side effects were bad for me so oncologist supported me in stopping. All been fine until recently been getting a few headaches (silent migraines with aura) and sore muscles on shoulders and neck (which may be causing the headaches). Asked for a referral to physio and breast team happy to do that but the thing that’s spooked me is they have asked me to come into the one stop shop clinic and its really thrown me. Last time I was there a year ago they felt a node and sent me for an ultrasound turns out it was fine and just because I am on the slimmer side they felt it. I think I am just spooked because I mentioned headaches to my GP ad she said the threshold is very low for breast cancer - they will do a brain scan for headaches if you have a history of breast cancer. I am useless at scans - MRI’s I hate as I am slightly claustrophobic and don’t like the contrast. So I am hoping they don’t send me for a brain scan…. not sure why I am writing this I think it’s just because ive been a little spooked and am now thinking the headaches are because of other not nice reasons! and if they do a scan will it pick up all sorts of things like dementia! (I would not want to know). So I just thought I would share that and any reassuring comments gratefully received. Love as alway to you all xxxx
