Hi Ladies
yet another interesting article… guess it is worth asking the question. I would try if my oncologist agreed… however we are not told we cannot take it for pain relief

Re: aspirin, what makes you say “we are not told we cannot take it for pain relief”?
Just curious as in 2011 my gastro-enterologist recommended a daily dose of 75mg aspirin as a precaution against developing bowel cancer (of which I have a strong family history). I have been doing it ever since.
Hi Everyone
Because there has been some discussion of this research in the news, we have asked our specialist clinical team to provide us with some guidance.
“A number of studies have shown possible protective effects of Aspirin in relation to breast cancer but further large scale trials are still needed"

Thanks for the reply Donna - that makes sense.
The gastroenterologist did check that I didn’t have a history of internal bleeding before sanctioning daily aspirin, and I was well over a year past chemo by then anyway. As I understand it, use of aspirin has been proven to be effective against bowel cancer which is why he suggested it.
My heart has been strange since starting letrozole 6 months ago. Not quite palpitations but like every few beats there is a stronger one. Gp didn’t even check it out just said I was probably anxious and more aware of these ‘natural’ stronger beats.
