Can early cancer be painful

Hi all
Well here Iam again Iam going for my second biopsy tomorrow, I have so many questions I have scabs on my eyes reading everything I can.
I am still waiting for results from last weeks biopsy I have had pain in this breast for ages now can that mean anything? Iam finding this really hard Iam at work but not really doing anything can not get my head together I feel on the point of tears all the time I know the doctor said it did’nt look sinister but how does he know without lab results I feel he is just saying that to try and reassure me its not working!!!
Last weeks biopsy was done with scan next one is with mamogram as I have 2 sites of interest in the same breast.
Sorry for this garbled lot need to talk to someone.

Hi jill1234

I"m sorry I can’t answer the question to the painful question.

All I can say is hang in there because when you do get the results which ever way they go you will feel more able to cope it is the not knowing that really is the hardest part.

Hi Jill

I’m really sorry - it’s a horrible stage to be at, but hopefully you’ll be one of the many that turns out not to have bc. I’m not sure that you can read much into having pain, as there are non-cancer causes of pain too. I had a few shooting style pains and a bit of itching, but I know others who have had no pain at all - and others who have had pain but no cancer.

You’re right that the doctor can’t know anything for sure until he gets the results, but I would hope he wouldn’t say it doesn’t look sinister unless he genuinely thought that. I hope you don’t have to wait too long - please let us know how you get on.
