can periods return after chemo if in 40s?

I had my chemo April to Sept 2016 and radiation in October and November 2016. I still did not get my period and had hot flashes. Now in the past few weeks I no longer have hot flashes. I wonder if this means I might get my period? I turned 47 in June. I am hoping so hard that I will because my period was regular before my breast cancer. What was the longest after post treatment before you got your period and did you experience the same thing. Your hot flash go away and then you got your period?

FYI, I am a triple negative and so am not on any hormone pills.
Strength and love to all the Pink Princesses here. A friend I met on FB for young women with breast cancer called us this and I thought it was beautiful.

Hi staroscar, I had chemo October 2014 to April 2015 (aged 47). I’ve had random light periods April and sept 2016, and a few spots in march this year.

My hot flushes have reduced a lot over the last month - but that could be helped by the weather cooling down?! Sometimes I get what feels like period back pain… I really hope that this is the beginning of the end!
