I’ve been on tamoxifen since sept 2008. for the past 4 weeks i’ve had terrible pains in my knee joint so don’t know if it’s caused by the tamoxifen or whether i’ve a problem with my knee. went to the doctor who gave me ibuprofen. after 2 doses my ankles came out in a terrible itchy rash which i initially thought were insect bites after walking the dogs in a field. nothing would stop the itching and the following day the rash spread to my upper leg and parts of my body. by the following day my body is covered in this terrible itchy rash. doc says it could be reaction to both tablets and to stop the ibuprofen.
strange thing is i normally suffer terribly with hay fever and usually take piriton x 8 a day to keep it at bay in the height of the season. this year no hay fever. can’t understand it. anybody else had similar rash or symptoms when taking other medication?
