Thought I’d let off a whole load of steam to the ladies that really understand how it feels!!!..My reconstruction has been cancelled for a second time!!! I had a call this afternoon from the PS secretary to tell me there was an emergency and I was cancelled - again! I had to come home from work as I couldn’t concentrate through crying (very embarassing) I can understand having to cancel due to emergency, but it seems like its always me they pick on, I know it sounds selfish but can’t they cancel someone else??? I am supposedly going in in a couple of weeks time, but I really don’t believe them anymore.
Sorry for sounding like a self-centred whinger but I am at the end of my tether now!!!
posted on other thread but just thought id pop one here. Like i say i am lost for words i am so upset for you, do they not realise what it does to us mentally when all we want to do is get our life back on track. Its disgusting sorry but it gets me so angry. Thinking of you tracy. HelenXX

But as you’ve been cancalled twice you now have to be on the must do list or the hospital can get fined.

Thanks for all your replies, I do feel a lot better today and I have had a letter from the hospital today confirming that I will be in on the 30th June and operated on the next day - lets hope it goes ahead this time.
I have decided that I will go to my local MP if they cancel again, hopefully he is still in office and hasnt been fiddling his expenses!!!
Im so sorry that they cancelled again its ridiculous but at least youve got a new date straight away and its not to longer time. I dont blame you going to your MP if this happens again. Good luck, fingers crossed for you.
I did have visions of me waiting weeks for another appointment, and was surprised to get the letter yesterday.
I have been told that they’re not allowed to cancel you more than twice, I suppose they pick on someone else after that. I do feel more confident that it will happen this time - fingers and everything else crossed!
God I really feel for you - I do hope I don’t get cancelled again, I don’t think I could cope if it happened again. This whole episode is beginning to take its toll on me.
