Hi. I had silicone implants with strattice (bilateral) 2 years ago and I am having them redone next month due to rotation and capsular contracture. I am quite nervous that the same thing will happen again as I am high risk of CC, though rotation shouldn’t be an issue this time as my tear drop implants are being replaced with round ones. I think if I had the choice I would rather use my own tissue as more natural.
What at are you having done?
xx
Hi Wilson_52
i have just seen your post. I had LD reconstruction with silicone implant 2 years ago this has now failed and I am now on the waiting list for a Diep reconstruction is this what you are now looking at?
Hi Wilson_52 yes you have to give lipofill a go it may be all you need. Hi rosie14 did you also have a Lat Dorsi with the implants? Glad you don’t have too long to wait now for for op, you get to the point that you just want it done. I have been on waiting list for 3 months op prob going to be around end of January x
I had an Ld with an implant 13 years ago. 3 weeks ago it was replaced with a Diep due to capsular contracture and my implant was leaking.
My surgeon has said that I may need to have some Lipofilling in the future for symmetry.
