Can anyone give me any tips on changing dressings?.. I cant remember if the nurse told me i could change or leave them off today? I had my WLE and SNB op last tuesday… I know I cant bathe till tuesday…she gave me some spare ones for when I showered… must admit Im not looking forward to taking them off…

I had mine removed at post op appointment which was exactly a week afterwards. There were steristrlp stitches under the dressing which they advised me to leave until they came away by themselves. No need to keep them dry and they lasted about another week.
Sandra the nurse took my dressings off before I left hospital the day after surgery and I was left with paper stitches which were removed when I went for results 10 days after surgery. My BCN advised not to keep dressings on as they can cause inection.
Thanks ladies… the nurse had put waterproof dressings on so I could shower etc… took them off sunday evening and finally had a bath tonight!!.. bit concerned about one part which looks sore… hubby said its ok … I know something though…my boob sure feels heavy!..more shocked by the bruising… hopefully now the fresh air can work its magic xx
