I recently was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer started my chemo last month when i found i met with the oncologist to discuss treatment ,as im triple neg my only one is chemo as with the drugs im on the consultant tod me i will have total hair loss which upset, after the meeting i was taken by an oncology nurse to the unit to discuss more things the nurse had sorted out people for me to see and one was a wig consultation.This week i went along for my consultation with the girl for my wig i was nervous that went well picked my wig i was ok ,then i asked the girl about cutting my hair she ased me did i not want wait for it to get patchy i asked how long sh told me it would start to do that nxt week before my nxt chemo ,i said i didnt want the heartache of that as a few follicles had come out already .I asked her how they cut my hair thinking if she buzzed i could cope with that she said they dont do that they cut it as short as thy can go,i said ok i was ready so she put the gown on me and went to get the then she plugged them in and started combing my hair at the back and started shaving all my hair off up the back up to the top where i could see her shaving away all my off at the sides .Next thing i knew she was on the other side shaving away shock hit me then that she was shaving all my hair off completely rigt dwn to the stubble when she was shaving my hair all off i didnt realise how short it was and how shaved it would be now i only have stubble but the last few days my scalp and follcles have been sore ive tried showers washing my head only helps so long ,im now thinking i should shave it all off completely now with lowest the clippers will go i may do that nxt wk as im going to go patchy anyway get it out the way shave the lot of to my bald scalp the stubble is driving me mad now if i had the courage i would shave it right now
