Chemo curls

Hi Girls

My hair has always been naturally wavy and has wanted to go its’ own sweet way. Anyway I finishe chemo in March and 4 weeks ago had the ends snipped to tidy it up.

Hairdresser came last night and as the tight curls at the back were driving me round the twist - sprouting at all angles and really coarse dry yukky hair - never thought I’d say hair was yukky- I had them lopped off.

Now I’ve got a really shot hair do again.

Does anyone know how long the grotty chemo curls last?

Haven’t tried the hat to see if it still looks OK for nieces’ wedding on Sunday.

Take care

Hi Marilyn

I too had chemo curls even though my hair had been straight before. As far as I can remember (it’s 3 years ago now), the wiry, curly hair lasted for about 6-9 months and each time it was trimmed by my hairdresser, it seemed to become more and more straight. It’s now completely back to normal - in fact I’ve got a better head of hair than I had before, so every cloud has a silver lining!!

Enjoy your niece’s wedding - I’m sure you’ll look fine!

Regards

Jo

I had naturally curly hair before so I am really really hoping mine will do the opposite and come in straight!!! - Everythin is crossed!!
