Hooray I’ve had my last chemo today!!! I can’t beleive how quick it seems to have come round. I let out a cheer when the last syringe of cyclophosphomide went in. That was until my nose started to sting and run but hey it was for the last time! I have really appreciated being able to have treatment at home. It really has taken a lot of the stress out of it and was particularly handy today as I have had a houseful of workmen building my utility room! The house now has a thick layer of dust over everything which will have to remain there until I can be bothered to do housework again! I’ve also been very lucky with the side effects. Not suffered much at all just general lethargy for a few days each cycle.
The news is good too. Apparently I have had a very positive response to the chemo so the op I have in January shouldn’t be too drastic. But then there’s rads and tamoxifen but at least I can enjoy Christmas before the next hurdle!
Anyway thanks to all who have offered advice and support and hope I can do the same for those just starting out.
BC has probably changed us all but we are a strong bunch and we will fight it! Feeling very emotional now so I’ll just say good luck to all and Happy Christmas

Yay!!! for you. My last one was not so long ago. It’s a bit like having a baby - you forget the nasty bits very quickly. Rads is nothing by comparison. xxx
Oh, huge congratulations Buzzy, that’s fab news! You must be elated. And great news about your response and smaller op, too. Fabulous!
I’m new to the forums - I have my second chemo today. I’ve been blogging about my experiences since being diagnosed on 13 October (stupid date to go for a mammogram!)and found it really therapeutic and, dare I say it, fun! Hope you like it: pinchypants.wordpress.com
