I was diagnosed with early breast in Feb. All seemed straightforward, lumpectomy, done in late March, lymph nodes came back clear, tissue around tumour is clear, HER2 came back negative but my Oncotype test has come back with a high score so chemo has been recommended, I start in 2 weeks. Everything else seemed to be going in my favour so to say I’m struggling to process this is an understatement, I have found this turn of events more frightening than the initial diagnosis. My husband & children have also found this harder to accept. Just wondering if anyone else has felt the same, my emotions are all over the place
Hi LinziB
I am similar to you lumpectomy late March one lymph node removed all clear but diagnosed HER2 positive so chemo recommended when only radiotherapy mentioned before so start this on 20 May feeling exactly the same as you.
When do you start your treatment?
Stay strong love mine was also to do with the scoring I needed a below 25 for no chemo and I scored 26 I was mortified I think it was also to do with my age as I am only 30 , I had my first session last week and it’s not nice at all but you need to stay strong , mines a mop up so once it’s done it’s done just hang in there love ? xxxx
