Chemotherapy and cataracts

I went to have my eyes tested today as I felt that my prescription needed tweaking for my right eye as I was not seeing so clearly with that eye. It seems I have developed a slight cataract in that eye - probably due to chemo as although I’m 58, it’s a bit young for cataracts. I’ve been googling since - it is indeed a SE of chemotherapy. Also tamoxifen and cataracts are linked, but not Aromatase Inhibitors like Arimidex.

OH said: ‘the list goes on’.

Anyone else had this effect?

Hi Stella

I am the same as you also have a slight cattaract in my right eye.

I am 53 and the optician said it was probably because of the chemo.

Just another thing to add to the list.

Hope you are well.
