It’s understandable to be anxious about having EC chemotherapy.
Your treatment team will have taken a number of factors into consideration when deciding on the right treatment for you. Your age would not be taken in isolation; they would assess your current and past medical history as well as your overall health as @pennyp says. Many older women can safely have chemotherapy as @edp and @lolac explain both had relatives in their 80’s who had chemo. And @teddy271 had chemo at 70.
In terms of breast cancer and older women, older is defined as over 70.
As @sassy3 and @yjmc say they had more of a difficult time which can also happen. Your treatment team will monitor you closely and you should be given a number to call 24 hours a day if you have any concerns or side affects you are worried about.
