Chillow Malfunction!

Hi…Does anyone else have the same problem as me? I bought a Chillow about 6 months ago and sleep on it every night, but lately its like sleeping on an empty crisp packet! It seems to have lost all its thickness despite topping it up with more water. It wasnt cheap and thought it would last longer than this. May have to complain to the manufacturer. Just thought maybe someone else had the same problem?

Hi Paris,

Sorry I can’t help but I had been thinking about buying one of these. I would have expected it to last longer too so maybe I’ll give it a miss and try a fan on the bedside table instead.

I would try a complaint to the manufacturer. If their customer service is any good they might replace it.

Hi
I bought a Chillow in 2008 when I was having treatment, and it is still OK and working fine after all this time. I would complain if I were you it certainly sounds as if something is wrong with it. I wouldn’t have been without mine especially when I was having rads during a very hot August! It is a godsend especially for those hot flushes.

Good luck

Hi,

My sister gave me her second hand one 3 years ago and she’d had it a good couple of years. It’s been a godsend although recently it sprung a leak from a very small hole on the seam. My OH blocked it up with silicone and it’s been fab again.

I would ring the firm and am sure they will send you a replacement. I’ve recently bought their smaller version so I can take it on holiday more easily - the larger one does take up a lot of luggage allowance!!

Couldn’t manage without mine so hope you get yours fixed, or better still replaced, very quickly.

Liz

PS A thought - it does say something about sweeping motions with your hand across it every so often to help it work properly.

hello Paris
My first chillow sprung a leak and I returned to them and they replaced it. The service was brilliant so do give them a call or post it back to them good luck

Hi Paris
I bought 2 chillows. One of the two had a leak and was replaced immediately. After using for several months one went really flat in a corner. Emptied out the water and got hubby to have a look. Think there’s like a piece of foam and if it folds over on itself or kinks it causes part of the chillow to go really flat. My husband managed to straighten it out.

Bought 2 Chillows (large and small) about 10 months ago and both are still working fine. They have been brilliant for me when I’ve had hot flushes, but I’ve also used them to cool my kids if they’ve had a fever. Works really well!
