Hi Christay Hope you are feeling a bit better I know its hard after the op its not just the pain its also the physcological effects it has as well but they do go away believe me. I had all my treatment at ST JOHNS in Livingston your hubby will know it I had brilliant treatment I cant fault them in any way Dawn has left a message her hubby comes from Falkirk Are you getting plenty of TLC at the moment I hope so Anyway I will keep in touch with you and You Take Care Love Linda xxx
Hi Linda
Thanks for the post. I am feeling great. Can’t believe it myself as I expected the op to have much more of an effect on me. I think mostly I’m just relieved to have it over and done with as I was pretty scared. Maybe it will all catch up with me one of these days but if so I know that everyone on here will help me through. Plenty of TLC although I live on my own as my husband and I are divorced. My son just lives round the corner though and both he and his partner have taken a week off work to be around for me. My two sisters have also been great and friends and workmates pop in very regularly. I am totally surrounded by flowers and cards so what more can I ask? What about yourself? You’re a bit further along this journey than me. How is it going? Are you keeping well enough? Yes, please do keep in touch.
God bless.
Christay
Hi Christay I am so glad to hear you are feeling well I was like that after my mactectomy I was only in 6 days I did have a problem with the 2 drains the pain was terrible but once the drains came out I was great I have finished all my chemo now 6 weeks ago I didnt have to have radiation as they took all my lymph nodes away (35) and everyone of them were clear thank god I do feel really well now I am starting a new job in 2 weeks time so my life will be pretty much back to normal . When you feel a lot better maybe we could meet up and do lunch or something or we will pick you up and you can come here for lunch. I am glad your family are all looking after you well it does make a difference when someone is there. I am on Arimadex now for 5 years they do make my legs ache a bit and my arms but I suppose its a small price to pay for my life.I never think of the BC coming back I have got a whole lot of living to do I spoke to a lady last week and she had her breast of 20 years ago and she lives her life to the full. Anyway you keep well and do your arm exercises as they do help a lot I will speak soon Love Linda xxx
Hi Linda
I’m so glad that you’re through the worst of your treatment and are feeling good. Meeting up sounds good. I’m signed off work for at least four weeks. Not sure when I’ll be able to drive again but am perfectly happy to use public transport once the tiredness has gone a bit so I’m sure we can organise something. Keep well.
God bless.
Christay
Notice you mentioned on another thread that you had been to the Dutch Inn in Skinflats. That is one of my favourite places to eat. Might be a good place for that meeting - fairly easy for both of us to get to. Hope you’re having a good day.
God bless.
Christay
Hi Christay Its a small world isnt it yes we have been to the Dutch Inn quite a few times its fantasic isni it. The last time we were ther was the last day of my chemo we all went to celebrate. that would be a great place to meet up its so easy for us both to get to.Did you know that Dawns husband comes from Falkirk they were meant to be coming here in August and she found out she had BC just before shame. Reading the threads on here she is one hellava brave lady she always answers everyones questions I feel she is an inspiration to the site. I also feel she has brought a bit of life to it I said to her she should be ST DAWN I had stopped using the site but now I am back as I just love to hear what she has to say. Anyway let me know when you feel well enough and I will book a table for us I will have to bring Hubby as I cant drive failed 6 tests so I gave it up as a bad job.You Take Care Love Linda xxxxx
Yes, Linda, I did read about Dawn’s husband coming from Falkirk. As you say it’s a small world. Give me a week or so and I’m sure I’ll be fine. I’ll have to bring someone along as well because I won’t be allowed to drive for a while - it’s frustrating because I feel perfectly capable but realistically, I think the biggest problem would be the seat belt - especially if I had to stop suddenly or something so I’ll just have to be patient. Getting my sister or a friend to bring me over shouldn’t be a problem though so many people have offered. And just so that we don’t cause confusion by calling me Christay when we do meet (my middle name is Christina - also my mother’s name), I’ll sign off using my real name!!! Look after yourself.
God bless.

Linda
You nearly made me cry with your post about me - saying how wonderful I am. It is lovely to read such things, but don’t reckon I am that great … making me blush as well now. Just posted back on your other thread, and now gonna go put Jack Sprat to bed, as shouting too much and giving me headache!!! Lets hope I get at least one and half hours out of him!!!
Cannot believe you took your test 6 times either … do you not wanna try again? Got to pass eventually. My hubbys friends girlfriends (yeah one of those my …), took her test about 7 times and eventually passed, she was only about 25 I think, failed once for going to slow over speed bumps. Made me laugh that did.
Anyway, catch up very soon. Thank you for your praise, although still not convinced.
Take care
Love
Dawn
