I posted a few weeks ago because I was concerned that my mother recieved abnormal blood test results after finishing her cancer treatment in January. My mother doesn’t tell me a lot because it’s her way of coping so I wasn’t sure what the nature of the results were. It now turns out that she is at the hospital having a PET scan. She mentioned this in a brief, roundabout way and I’m scared of pressing her for information. Does it sound like her onc suspects the cancer has returned or spread? Do oncs normally offer PET scans on the basis of abnormal bloods? I’m so worried.
