Concerned

Hello all,

I found this forum really helpful and a great form of support in January this year when I discovered a lump in my chest, which after having it removed following an unclear biopsy result, turned out to be a non-cancerous fibroedenoma.

After having clear margins and all clear following surgery I was hoping to forget about my chest for while! Two weeks ago though I discovered a red swollen tender area on the breast where I had the fibroedeonoma removed earlier this year.

The doctor thought it was a cystic spot and so precscibed a course of erythyromyocin. I’ve been taking that for two weeks now and although the area has improved a bit it’s still there. Been back to the doctors this week and have now been referred back to the Breast Clinic again as they would have expected it to have cleared up by now. Dreading to have to go through the process of testing and waiting again and worried what this could be?

Hello,
Non.of us can really speculate accurately on what it maybe… but rest assured you have been referred back to a specislist clinic. Tests, investigations bring their own anxieties but you are in expert hands x x

Hi lexilou3 thanks for getting back to me. As you say getting referred is for the best.

The redness has subsided a lot now but still tender and a sort of thickened line in area where had lump removed before. Wondered if anyone had experienced problems where non cancerous lumps had been removed before?
