confused.com - TAC

Hi all, I am trying to understand the acronyms for the various chemo and find out more about my planned chemo regime using TAC.

Includes:
Cyclophosphamide
Docetaxel
Doxorubicin

Is this combination referred to as something else on the site?
I can’t seem to find any threads on it.
Thanks Lisa x

Hi Smiles,

Below I’ve put you the link to BCC’s publication regarding chemotherapy which I hope will help.

Hope it helps.

Hi smiles,

This got me confused at the start of my chemo too.

In the end mine got described as AC-T, some hospitals seem to have their own way of describing regimens which can make it tricky to find out information when you google it.

Best of luck with it all!

I too could not find out much on TAC - other than the leaflet in the link above which my oncolgist gave me. I finished 8 rounds in March, just ask if you have questions!

Thanks ladies, how did you cope with it? I am a fighter and very determined to carry on to some degree of normality but some of the stories I read on here worry me over things that I hadn’t even considered xx
