Constipated - feeling miserable and looking for advice

I started Abemaciclib on June 6.  On June 7, I had 2 episodes of loose watery stools so I took 2 immodium (2mg each pill). pills according to instructions on the bottle.  I am now constipated.    What can I do to remedy this?  Am feeling miserable. Please help!  thank you.

I found fibrogel helpful when I had it nice orange flavour too. Not a nurse but a fellow sufferer!

cheers

Hi Siggi

Thanks for posting. It’s understandable you feel miserable. Coping with the side effects of treatments such as Abemaciclib can be hard. Loose stools or diarrhoea and now constipation can be difficult to manage as you have experienced. As @Seagulls mentions there are other medicines that can help with this and also some practical advice you might find useful. We would always suggest you discuss this with your treatment team or pharmacist first before taking anything new.
