Contact Buttons
Contact Buttons Would like them back please. I appreciate the problems caused by their misuse in the past, but there are ways and means to block unwanted emails.
Many people get a lot of benefit from being able to exchange emails with people in similar circumstances or with whom they have built up a particular bond. I think the benefits outweigh the risks.
Yes Please consider a trial period with contact buttons. I know that you will facilitate e-mail exchange but sometimes I think its good to have the opportunity to be more spontaneous in contacting individuals direct. As ever people don’t have to have contact buttons if they don’t want them, and unwelcome e-mails can simply be ignored.

ditto - re contact buttons …totally bored with saying the same thing over and over and over…!
Oh and can we totally eradicate the word chat from these forums - I don’t think chat forum works at all - and the title coffee room was much better than chit chat & fun.
buttons back! Being contacted personally made a big difference to me when i was going through diagnosis and initial treatment. it was very scary and traumatic time. A few caring thoughts, words and advice from a complete stranger brought me back from the brink a couple of times. Please reconsider.

Me too The loss of the contact buttons is something I felt very strongly about when the new website was launched and my feelings haven’t changed. Tbey have always been optional and as long as BCC makes it clear that they can’t be held responsible for the consequences if people choose to have a contact button, then I can see no problem.

contact button I also would like the option of a contact button reinstated. On the old forum I have had such supportive messages, when total strangers have contacted me. Some people have told me that they prefer to email privately and I can understand this point of view.
