Coping with nerves for the first appointment

Hi everyone,

Iv had problems with my left breast that started a few years ago but it has never played on my mind so much as it has today since I heard from the breast clinic to arrange the appointment next week.  Is this normal?

Just over 2 years ago I seen a locum GP because my left breast felt odd and it was leaking (looked like milk).  She assured me everything was okay and so I never thought much more of it.

Last Novemer not long after my 30th I found a lump in my chest.  I went to the GP and he said because of my age we will wait 2 weeks and see.  I went back and he said he could still feel it but it felt like it had gone down so to come back in a month.  5 weeks later I went back and it was still there so hes reffered me to the breast clinic. My breast is noticebly larger and when I look in the mirror my nipples go in different directions.  It feels a bit achey and I still leak now and then.  Its really strange I wasnt worried about it untill I heard from the hospital today and now I feel anxious.  I dont know wether im being silly or if I have cause to worry.  I havent spoken to anyone apart from my husband and hes not the greatest talker.  What usually happens when you go to a breast clinic.

Thanks
