cording

D’you know, there is NO FUNDING for physio for ‘Breast’ in Bristol. How shocking is that ???!!

Td x

That is a disgrace - is it cos they do not consider that physio is an required treatment with bc or is it that the funding has been used up?

Dunno - my consultant is up in arms (ha ha - more than I can be!) about it… big Trust I suppose and not enough money - never is… it’s something tht I don’t really understand about my HER2 status too - my DCIS is HER2 3+ but as the IBC is ‘only’ HER2 2+ then I have to wait for the Fish test as 2+ is borderline for being treated ‘well’ by herceptin. Now, I understand that it’s an expensive drug and I’m truley thankful that it’s being used for early BC too these days, but if the DCIS is 3+ surely that gives them a clue to how my body is …??

Sorry folks - back to the CORDING chat…!!

HI lisa

I had my results on Thursday, I must admit I was over the moon as I had good clear margins and only 2 lymph nodes out of 16 infected so I was really chuffed. I am just waiting for the appointment to discuss chemo and rads but thats ok its just so great to be told they got it all. My cording is getting better, I just keep lifting my arm above my head and that seems to be doing the trick even my arm feels less sore now. Everything seems fine at the moment except last night I lost the plot for no real reason, my poor hubby only asked where his t-shirts were and I ended up sobbing. I was so annoyed with myself I am not usually so touchy. Also sleeping like a log now.

Hope everything is going ok with you, Have you started chemo yet? you loose track a bit on here

Hi Debs
I get my path results on Wednesday so dont know the extent of the damage yet!
Im struggling with the cording - I cant get my arm half way up now!

I had node sampling, so I am hoping I dont need more surgery which would knock me back even further.
However, I have been told that if the nodes are infected, that they use rads - but then again I hear that causes lymphodemia also.

I just have to sit tight and wait another day and a half!

Lisa

Keep up with the exercises ladies.I’ve just suddenly realised that my arm hardly hurts at all now.It seems to have improved overnight and has gone from being virtually unusable to almost normal.

Tricia

Tricia, I love that post… hope for us yet (huge smiley face)

Hi Lisa
I am due to start rads and have been told there is slight risk of lymphodema, but I am also going to an arm exercise at the hospital which hopefully help.

Take Care
