I’m 27 went to doctors as my right breast had been leaking milk and is quite painful with a Hardish lump that only I can feel. Was referred to breast clinic. I saw the consultant who I found a little blunt and patronising, she kind of made out that I was bringing g the symptoms on myself through stimulation, which wasn’t the case. She then told me there was no lump and that I was absolutely fine, made me feel embarrassed and like a drama queen. She sent me for ultrasound anyway just to be safe and they found the lump I could feel on the scan and done a core biopsy. Has anybody else experienced these symptoms with good results at the end?

Hi Joanne, sorry the doc was not the most sympathetic when you are scared and worried that’s the last thing you need isn’t it .The good news is 3/4 biopsies taken are not cancer,if it is there is still a good chance that it is very treatable and you will be around for many years to come ,otherwise there wouldn’t be so many of us nattering away on this site!Let us know How you get on.lots of support available on this site.Jill
Thank you Jill what you say is very true thank you for your messege, my mind is mixed, biggest part of me believes there will be nothing wrong but a few years back my smear was abnormal had to have biopsies which came back as hpv positive cin 1 but within 6 months it had progressed to cin 3 so they had to remove a large part of my cervix think it’s more that playing on my mind wondering if hpv can cause cancer cells in other parts of the body, I’m sure everything will be fine though and I’m just boggling my mind for no reason. I get results tomorrow so fingers crossed, it’s been the longest week and a half of my life lol xx
Good luck Joanne, waiting for results is horrible .I don’t think there is any connection between HPV virus and breast cancer ,BC is largely hormone fuelled or genetic. If it is cancer don’t panic the vast majority of women with breast cancer are successfully treated and there has been vast progress in treatments over the last 10 years.Let us know how you get on.
That’s good to know thank you, I’ve woke up feeling confident and positive about the results I know it’s very rare to have it at a younger age it’s just the waiting period gives you too much time to over think! Appointments at 4 so will update later. Thanks for support x
All good news ? it’s just thickened fybroid tissue which can apparantly be caused by stress that causes the brain to release a hormone that makes your body think its trying to get pregnant lol crazy! Huge relief though x
That’s brilliant ,bet you felt so relieved.
