Hello,
Following mastectomy, SNB and then axillary clearance I am now half way through my chemo. I have to have radiotherapy and am wondering what creams/lotions to use to keep the skin good prior to this?
Have read alot about oestrogens, parabens, thalates and laureaths. My tumour was E+ and HER2 +ive so I have some concerns.
Hi there,
I used the aqueous cream they gave you before, during and after radio and have had no problems. Just make sure you smother it on as many times possible a day, especially after washing.
Hope this helps.
All the best.

I used the aqueous cream for washing, and 99% pure Aloe Vera Gel straight after the rads… and a baby-lotion for moisturising. All approved by the unit. The baby lotion I used was Arbonne, and it’s fabulous, but the unit said that anything suitable for a baby was OK. I had no problem at all, but as Julie says, you need to moisturise several times a day… good luck! Jane
