If I am newly diagnosed with breast cancer how long between getting ct scan and results?
Hi @linz1314,
Thank you for posting.
Being newly diagnosed with breast cancer can be a worrying and stressful time, so it’s understandable to wonder how long you will have to wait for your CT scan results.
The wait for scan results can vary between hospitals, so you may find it helpful to contact your breast care nurse or treatment team to ask. They will be able to answer based on how things work in your local area. In general, it is usually around 1-2 weeks.
You may find our booklets diagnosed with breast cancer: what now? helpful to read.
We also offer a range of free supportive services for anyone affected by breast cancer which may be of interest for you.
You can call our helpline if you would like to talk through how you’re feeling or if you have any further questions. We often find we can help people more by talking on the phone. The helpline team have time to listen, talk things through and signpost you to additional support and information if necessary.
