Hi all
I wonder if anyone has encountered this?
I have recently noticed darker patches of skin on the underside of both breasts and just below. I originally thought they might be caused by sweating (copious hot flashes and night sweats with arimidex) or by my bra but I don’t think that’s the case - they are different shapes and sizes, one patch extends a lot further than the other. They don’t itch or hurt and the skin texture is the same as ‘normal’ skin.
I did wonder if this might be a result of hormonal treatment but can’t find any reference to it on the web.

Yes, me too, I put it down to being put into the menopause.
I’m often examined at the hospital and no-one has commented on the darker patches.

Hi Manon
Did you have chemo? I ask because chemo can cause problems with skin pigmentation. Whilst having 6 x FEC I developed brown patches of skin on the palms of my hands and soles of my feet and I have also developed brown areas of skin on the back of my neck. They are still there. My Onc didn’t seem worried by them but didn’t offer much explanation, it was the chemo nurses and reading about chemo effects that enlightened me. They are supposed to go away, eventually!
I did - taxotere, which might explain it. My onc asked me what they were! He didn’t seem bothered either and I’m not worried myself, just curious
