Afternoon all, I’m new to all this technical malarkey. Have had a crash course of my daughter-in-law. I am 4 wks since my op (lump & lymph node). Have a planning meeting on Monday 13th July to set up a plan for radiotherapy. Feeling really good in myself but suffering a disturbed sleep pattern, also mood swings. I am a young 68 yrs of age, have a part-time job and finding it hard to be “on the sick” as I can’t remember the last time I was ill. It would be lovely to be in contact with others who know where you are at and going through the same things.

I’m going for my planning meeting tomorrow so will let you know how I get on. I had my op on 11th May, lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy, have recovered well but I struggle with sleep too. I’m taking Tamoxifen at night to try and counteract the side effects. I’m 47 by the way!
This is my first time on the radiology site . I am also a young 68 yr old who has had a lumpectomy and full node clearance. I have a planning meeting on 30th of July for radiotherapy followed by Letrozole for 10 yrs
I would love to hear how you get on with radiotherapy as mine will start in 2/3 weeks time.
