Was diagnosed on 21st January, 2013. Had first WLE on 26th February, was assurred everything would be okay, nothing too serious etc. Results on 13th March indicated High Grade DCIS - 2nd WLE planned for 2nd April. Was infornmed that he would get it all out this time, so felt fairly confident.
However at the consultation today I was informed another WLE required - I asked if I could have my holidays first as this was previously cancelled and I feel I really need a break. Operation planned for 29th May after being assured it would be okay to delay operation by a couple of weeks. I asked if I should have mastectomy but told not necessary.
Has anyone had 3 WLE’s? I feel rather let down and all these sleepless nights are really making me ill. I an considering changing my mind about my holidays and get on with the surgery but knowing I will probably have weeks of radiotherapy ahead means no break for a while.
Would love to hear from someone in similar circumstances
