My sister has recently been diagnosed with DCIS and will have a mastectomy later this month. She is still using HRT and had told me that her surgeon has said it is ok to continue to do so. Everything I have read say’s not to continue. Are there any types of breast cancer where continuing to take HRT is OK?
Hi, I really dont know the answer to this one as I’m not offically menopausal yet however my doctor GP and Surgeon both said I wouldn’t be able to take any HRT due to the hormone in it. Speak with your GP for some further advice.
Best wishes
Hi snoop19,
I am sorry you and your sister are going through this anxious time. I have moved your post to the DCIS board where I am sure you will get some more support from our users.
Best wishes,
