Evening ladies…well I’m back in hospital with 38.9 temp and heart rate over 140 that won’t go down. IV going through now and I assume they will probably keep me in but not sure yet. Hope you are all feeling a bit better xxx

Moijan line went better than thought but still anxious about this loop of line strapped to me for next 7 or so weeks but I have three sessions left so doubt they would put a port in me .
Camilla eat as many fish and chips as you want while you are capable of eating them ?.

Morning ladies…temp is up still but no where near as high as yesterday. I have decided I hate hospitals nowadays! So noisy and not much sleep isn’t a good combination. I have severe Mucositis and an ear infection and querying a blood clot so I’m waiting for a scan. I don’t know the symptoms of a blood clot but I think it’s having been really out of breath since chemo on Thursday and really high heart rate. Not to be a cynic…but it might a young doctor wanting to show he has been thorough!

Mamadeacs yes you may be right about them being thorough but while you are there you may as well cover all eventualities . I hope they have got you in your own room x
Oh no, sorry to hear you are in hospital mamadeacs, its horrible having to go in with temp but it is the safest place to be, fingers crossed no blood clot and they are just being thorough
Good luck with the docetaxol today camilla, I hope the side effects are kind to you and you dont rnd up with temperatures!

Glad the line went ok cathsin, it does make getting bloods etc so much easier. Although a pain with the weekly flush.

Still really struggling with side effects from cycle 4. My arms & legs feel like lead ? I seem to just need to sleep all the time. Had my picc flush today & they took bloods.

So sorry ur in hosp mamadeacs. I’ve yet to have that pleasure. Had my first docetaxel today and home now. Currently feeling fine. Strange knowing it all whirling round in the blood but not manifesting itself - yet.
Have not been given my usual anti-sickness meds to bring home so assume that’s a good thing…
All a waiting game …

Runaway girl, I meant to say earlier, chemo also put me through a temporary menopause. The hot flushes through the night are exhausting! My BCN told me we can’t take any supplements to help. I did order a chillow from amazon which helps take the edge off of them, & a mini hand held fan! Just to add to the joys eh! Xx

Unicorngirlmummy - yeah the night sweats are really annoying! My chemo nurse said that they are probably being induced by the EC chemotherapy and to keep a diary as to see if any other patterns are identified i.e. drinking enough, diet and activity levels. Im eating and drinking similar to last 3 cycles and activity might be slightly less so will see lol. I guess I will have ro get used to it anyway - I apparently have 10 years of Tamoxifen tablets to look forward to ?
Cathsin - good to hear your chemo went fine (another one under the belt!) and I hope you did eventually manage to get some sleep ?
I had a bit of a cry last night (not usually one for crying) but couldnt help it. Getting so frustrated with nausea, horrible sore mouth and throat and the relentless fatigue each cycle. Hard to see the light at the end of this chemo tunnel at times isnt it?
I keep trying to remind myself - we can ALL do this! ?

Runaway girl, yes it really is hard to see the light sometimes & you’re more than entitled to a good cry ? As you say, when you feel nauseous, achey, nothing tastes nice, sore throat, it’s hard to get enthusiastic about doing it all again ? You’re absolutely right though, we can all do it (through gritted teeth & sparse eyelashes ??).

Hi karebear, from what I have read they pass thru your body in a few days butvthe effects continue working. Think you are still classed as cytotoxic for up to a week. Im not totally sure tho so someone else might know more.
Thats me hooked up for round 5 as bloods and temp all ok. Praying for no more hospital admissions
