@Amarilys85 - hi and a big welcome to the forum. I am so sorry to read about your mother and also that you are also dealing with some changes that are worrying you, on top of Covid effects. It is not surprising that you are worried given your mother’s diagnosis, and also that your mind is rushing ahead and fearing the worst. The waiting time really is an awful time, but we are all here to hold your hand and get you through it. You really are not alone on here, it is a safe non judgmental site where everyone just “gets it”, you never have to explain anything.
You might want to consider calling the lovely nurses on here - the number is at the top right of the page - 08088006000. They obviously have medical knowledge but are great at listening too.
While you wait see if you can hold onto the fact that most breast changes are harmless/benign, but you have done exactly the right thing by getting the changes investigated. Doctors are always super cautious and want to check things out. I’m not medical and so don’t want to offer any medical advice, but I wonder if the dimpling could possibly be related to the amount of weight you have lost - as you yourself have suggested. There may be excess skin if weight has also gone from your breasts? Just a thought - especially as you seem to have dimpling/changes in exactly the same place on each breast?
When do you get your results? Have you thought about speaking to your GP to see if you could speak to a counsellor? I had some counselling after my treatment and it was very very helpful. But in the meantime I am very happy to continue chatting or listening. I had my treatment about 4 years ago and really understand exactly how you are feeling. I get those same feelings each year when mammogram time comes round.
Sending you and your mum big hugs. Evie xx
