I know the feeling … of being a bother to such ‘busy’ people! I recently had surgery to release a trigger finger and while the doctor was OK, her office staff acted like it was such a bother to have me walk through their doors. I haven’t been treated like that in a very long time and will not be going back to that location.
Is there a possibility that you could change to a different practice? We are all going through too much to have to be treated with so much disrespect.
And yes, I was also told to take vitamin K2 but fortunately that was already in the D supplement I take. And looking through my notes I found I was told to take D3 as opposed to D2 because of my DNA.

Do you still have a BCN that you could tell ? If you are still under a surgeon then you should tell your team if only to make sure that some of your details have not been mixed up with another patient and also if it will impact on your treatment . I would also contact the Practice Manager / Admin Lead at your surgery as this may be the source of the error . Hope you get it sorted. Xx

I contacted my BCN who spoke to my surgeon and they said it would be the Osteoporosis department’s fault and to speak to them, which I did and as you can see by my previous message they said it was my fault by not telling them I didn’t start my menopause until I was 48/49, I honestly didn’t realise it was relevant, they should have specifically asked when I started my menopause, instead they asked when my periods had stopped, I was 41 after having a mastectomy. They also insisted that Tamoxifen is HRT. She wasn’t helpful at all. They are meant to be calling me back.
I know the Osteopenia won’t change but it might make me higher risk and need something more than Cali-D.

That’s so rude of them to make out it’s your fault - I hope you complain . Also ignorant - how could they not know that Tamoxifen is not HRT - it’s almost the opposite of HRT. I also did not realise how important it is to know about your menopausal status . I can remember about 10 years ago asking for a test at the GP and getting fobbed off saying you are not menopausal while you are still having periods. Fast forward to 2021 diagnosed with breast cancer age 56 and was asked what is your menopausal status - my answer was I haven’t a clue but my last period was 14 months ago. Then the ( different) GP lets me have a blood test and I was post- menopausal - I don’t know know how you are supposed to just know these things unless you’ve had a test . Xx
