I am so sorry that this is your latest news, I cannot begin to understand how you must be feeling. When do you get the results of the scan?

Thinking of you.

Debs, I understand you must be so scared and worried. When you reach that state of worry it is so difficult to do anything at all to take your mind off it. Although everyone’s diagnosis is different, the fear of it spreading is the worst. Please remember at this stage they use statistics to guide investigations and treatment. They look at your results and consider statistics of ladies who have had the same diagnosis and how theirs has developed and responded to treatment. Although you have had several lymph nodes involved there will be other patients who have had this and it hasn’t spread elsewhere. Waiting for results is the worst part, it’s hell isn’t it? If you speak to your breast care nurse and tell her how worried you are, she may try to get them earlier. There are so many different treatments. My consultant said there are so many options they can explore. I can’t tell you not to worry (I’m the worst worrier ever) but be kind to yourself. Cry if you need to, talk to people close to you. Don’t bottle up your worries. I will be waiting to hear your scan results and have absolutely everything crossed for you. If its the news you want that’s brilliant, if its not as good as you hoped you will have a treatment plan and a route through this. At the moment you are imagining the worst with no understanding of treatments for that. After your next appointment it will get easier than now either way. Big hugs xxx

Stay positive Debs, the results will hopefully come back in your favour. There’s been many post on the forum where people have had high amount of lymph node involvement and they’ve gone on to be NED (no evidence of disease). I hope that someone who has gone through this comes along to tell their positive story.

Take care and stay positive, you can and will beat this.
