diagnosed early stage cancer then lobular cancer
diagnosed early stage cancer then lobular cancer Hi
I’m wondering if anyone is able to shed light on my situation, I had my lump removed on 6/4 and went in the following week for my results. My consultant informed that I had early stage breast cancer. He informed me that drug therapy was not the best thing for me, and went on to advise that Radiotherapy and or a Mastectomy may be the best solution. After consultants meeting the following week, the diagnosis changed to Lobular Cancer in Situ (likelyhood of cancer is 15/20 years), my next appointment is scheduled for July 06 for changes, shocked yes, relieved definetely. I called the Cancer helpline to inform them of my So Called good news, but as it turns out they suggested that I get a second opinion as they felt he should have given me more information. Now I feel anxious with this and was wondering if anyone else has been mis-diagnosed or have had a similar experience.
hello roxanne
how are you today still smiling i hope ,please let me know how you get on if you go for a second opinion or talk to your bc nurse ,hope it goes well for you , lots of hugs xxx
Hi dippy
Thank you for your concern. Having good days where I feel nothing in wrong, then bang, the thoughts are back again, what a roller coaster of emotions!. Speaking with you & others helped me realise that I’m not alone, you’re all so up-beat & supportive for which I will be eternally grateful, you gave me the strength to feel empowered to take control. I called the hospital again, got an appointment 3/5/06 to see the original consulatant for a detailed explanation of his diagonosis. Have decided that I will seek a second opinion also made enquiries for a bc nurse to discuss my concerns. Hope all is well with you my dear. Take care. Roxanne XXx.
