I was wondering if anyone had any idea how long after being diagnosed with a 7cm HER2+ breast cancer with clusters!! (What ever they are) to the start of treatment. My plan is Chemo +Herceptin and Pertuzumab then Surgery then Radiotherapy.
I waited 4 weeks for the diagnosis and don’t see an Oncologist until the 23rd May.

When i was diagnosed in may 2017, they told me they had to start treatment by 30 days after diagnoses or they get fined, i had to sign a letter as i chose to delay mine due to a family holiday planned, i had to state it was my choice.

I started chemo about 30 days after diagnosis. Within those 30 days there were a number of appointments for CT scan, bone scan and other checks as well as 2 appointments with a very patient Onco to discuss the ins and outs of chemo. I was Her2+ as well. These waiting periods just feel like forever don’t they. Take care of yourself Floss and wishing you all the best x
