Hi everyone, I would just like to thank all the contributors to Diep discussions. I was initially terrified to have this op but having read your comments over the months, and done the research, now feel positive about what to expect of my op and recovery.
It is almost two years since my mx and all the treatment, including herceptin, and it will be great to have some cleavage again.

(diep march 08 - and haven’t regretted it for a moment…well ok I did for about 5 minutes around 2 days after the op when I was feeling a bit miserable and sore!)

Good luck to you - I am due to have mine on 25th September. Went for pre-op tests yesterday and a look round the ward. Am still terrified but all the staff seem wonderful and of course people do get through this. At the end of the day, it is very definitely what I want. Will be thinking of you on Monday - do let us know, in due course, how you get on, as I will too.
