hi everyone
have had a good morning, i am finally getting my car back this week after nearly 6 mnths in the garage (was in an accident which wasnt my fault and the other 2 parties couldnt decide who was responsible).
I also had a call from a research nurse saying she and a dr are coming to see me tomorrow to sort out pain relief as i have had terrible hip pain the last 2 weeks (have secondaries) and that i will be getting radiotherapy on mon/tues yippee.
Then finally received 2 tickets for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo from my work -here is my dilemna - i have 2 close friends who have been very supportive over last few weeks and i’d love to take them both but i will have to choose, i know neither of them will take offence whoever i ask but i will feel bad. If i could i would give them a ticket each but everyones name goes into a hat at work and i dont know if they would be best pleased if i gave the tickets away.
what do you think?? trish
Hi Trish Why not do the same and pick one of thier names out of a hat and that way you have not chosen, I hope you enjoy your time in edinburgh.
Hi Trish
Why not just tell them both your dilemma - that you are obliged to go and can only take one guest- ? It could be that one or other isnt available on that day or isnt that bothered and help you make your decision and that way you wont feel so guilty having to decide. If they both equally want to go, toss a coin or something and promise the loser that next time something comes up, its their turn. I cant imagine that they would get funny about it.
Take me instead - I would love to go to the Tattoo and it would save you choosing between your friends :-))
seriously tho - speak to your friends, as Cathy says perhaps one will not fancy it or will be busy. If both would be keen and available flip a coin and arrange with the one who doesn’t get to go to do something else.
Good luck with the pain relief.
