I know im only 17, and that its really rare to get breast cancer, but i think there is something wrong with me. I cant fully explain the symptoms but i will try. On my left breast, that nipple doesnt really stand up properly and on the area surrounding it, i think its the areola, i have two small lumps. Sometimes i get pain, which isnt very bad, but still.
Also i just noticed today that my left breast looks as if it starts lower down. And i dont know what to do. I’m really scared of calling my doctor and am to shy to even go in or talk about this. I cant even tell my mum, im just so shy and im scared, and i dont know what to do.
Hi tutorgirl,
You’ve come to the right place for support which I am sure you will get from your fellow forum users who have a wealth of information and experience between them.
First of all, you must make an appointment to see your GP and get things checked out, is there a female GP at your surgery that you could see? Most breast lumps aren’t breast cancer but any changes in your breasts should always be checked out.
If you would like to talk to someone in confidence then please do phone our helpline where you can talk to one of the breast care nurses here about your concerns. The helpline is free and is open today until 5pm (Mon-Fri 9-5 and Sat 9-2) the helpline will be closed on Bank Holiday Monday. 0808 800 6000.
Take care, kind regards,
