Liz - you ask a couple of times about people who had taxotere and whether everyone came back grey. I’m 48, and had FEC then Taxotere, and my 1 inch hair is so far mousy, with just one or two grey hairs in it. Was “blonde” for years, and wondering whether to dye it again, but it seems a cruel thing to do to new hair! I’m being told that I look very trendy, which is not be at all me really (I had a bob with a fringe) - but might well stay short now - it’s certainly easy!
Hi Seabird - glad to hear you are still mousy ! it’s was just a theory I had and did wonder if it was true ! I didn’t know whether to dye mine but people kept saying it wasn’t me. They also say that they like my short curly hair and that it’s trendy but like you I don’t want it short !!

Hi Liz
I had tax and mine didn’t come back grey at all. Mine was dark blonde when it went and is much the same now (I’m 56 by the way). Hadn’t ever coloured it at all and not going to start now!. It is curly though whereas it was dead straight so I will have to wait and see if the curls grow out eventually.
Good luck!

Hi al , glad to hear some of you did lose the chemo curl (those that wanted to anyway !) everyone says I look good but I’m not so sure. I wear a headband to keep the boinginess ? at bay as its shooting upwards and outwards and I feel a bit masculine . Its mousey grey though ( i am 42) and would love to go blonde t am not going to ruin my new hair with peroxide.

Hi Liz,
I had fec and my hair is growing back absolutely white. I can’t believe it. No colour in it at all as if it is bleached.
Margaret
I had FEC and my hair came back a mixture of silver and grey. I had some grey before but nothing like this. I now have it dyed blondish with a hint of red. I had lovely red hair before but think that the blonde doesn’t show the grey regrowth as much as red would do. Grey really didn’t suit my colouring. My hair is still really curly and I don’t like it, I spend ages trying to tame it and then if it rains or I go swimming, I have a mass of tight curls again! I have had it cut 3 times so far and no sign of the curls disappearing.

Hi ladies, sorry to disappoint those of you only just coming to terms with your newfound curliness, but I finished chemo over 3 years ago and STILL have curly hair. Lucky for me I llove it and as some other ladies have said, its in better nick than ever was pre treatment. I used to have very bushy thick and coarse short-cropped hair that I couldn’t grow because it looked so bad, now I have long curly dark hair past my shoulders. Its one of the very few gifts BC has given me, so I spend a fortune on shampoos and conditioners these days, and… well could talk about it for hours! I think too once you’ve had the trauma of losing your hair, it does change how you feel about it. Anything but a wig!
I had 3 x FEC followed by 3 x Taxotere. My hair which was always blonde. ( people used to say how young I looked at 44 because didn’t have a grey hair in sight.) It’s come back grey and curly. I love the curls but not too sure about the grey and am hoping my blonde hair comes back. Everybody says they prefer my hair short as well, so I might keep it short. It’s so easy in the mornings…

Hi Bagelo
Hope I keep my curls! And as you say, anything but a wig! I LOVE my hair now. And as Diddly says, so easy in the mornings
Sleep tight all
