Does having a tetanus shot cause a seroma?

Hi all

I haven’t had a tetanus shot for about 25 years and my dog has scratched me. One dr said it’s not tetanus prone but my GP has said I can have a shot this afternoon. However I am worried about side effect of swelling as I still have a wound infection and just got rid of the seroma. Any one any wiser?

Xx

Hi @newbie1

I would call the breast cancer now nurses on 0808 800 6000 or online here Ask our Nurses | Breast Cancer Now or call you own breast care nurse for advice. GP is a general practitioner and may have had some time in oncology but not all do. I’m lucky there is a GP who spent at lot of time at the Marsden in London so I trust her advise.
