Does Holiday Insurance cover any recon complications? HELP!

I know the holiday insurance topic has been done to death but I’m unclear about whether it covers any complications related to the reconstructive surgery I’ve had.

Although I’ve informed them about my BC and the policy doesn’t cover BC my surgeon seems to think that I should still be covered for anything to do with the surgery to reconstruct as it is purely cosmetic & is not part of my cancer treatment.

Does anyone have any idea as I would like the heads up before I call the insurance company in case they bully me!

Hope someone can help
Thanks

I have recently taken out travel insurance… They ask if you’ve had surgery in the last six months. In my case I said yes as I had DIEP Oct and uplift in January this year. Asked if I need wound management, no. Yes all covered, but at a premium! Better safe than sorry I think. £150 for two weeks in the states from Medici Travel. Sounds alot but in my mind well worth it for peace of mind.
