Hi all, newbie here. I had a partial mastectomy with reconstruction and lymph nodes were also removed. My nipple has been glued and has no dressing on it but the rest of my wounds have dressings and dissolvable stitches, I’m wondering how long these dressings need to be on for and when I can have a proper shower?

I seem to remember having to keep it dry for 2 weeks. Do you have a follow up appointment with your consultant soon? They will check it and advise. I had shallow baths for a while, and my daughter washed my hair over the side of the bath. I remember the relief of having a proper wash after that time! Xx
