Ductal TN Diagnosis - Positive Stories

Hello everyone :waving_hand:t2:

I have recently been diagnosed with Stage 1, Grade 3 Ductal Triple Negative breast cancer … left breast with no sign of spread of lymph nodes (lymph node biopsy was clear) … I’m 51, and would love to hear anyone’s positive story about this particular type of breast cancer :ribbon:

I know that I’ve got a ‘rocky road’ ahead of me because this is one of the rarer types, I think … it’s aggressive, fast-growing and spreads more easily ….

I’m feeling frightened, stressed and anxious all-in-one … only my husband knows at the moment as I want to have the full picture in front of me such a MRI / CT to see if it’s spread outside my breast in my body, and the treatment plan before sharing with my daughter (she’s 20, lives in Australia at the moment) and my family, my close friend and my work …

Like I said, interested to hear positive stories of Ductal TN

Thank you :growing_heart:

15 years ago, at the age of 51, my sister in law received the same diagnosis as you. She had chemotherapy, a lumpectomy and radiotherapy. She says she rarely thinks about it all now.

She’s currently on a trip to South Africa with my brother and last year they spent 4 months travelling around South America. They really live life to the full!!

Good luck with all your treatments. :hugs:
