Hi merry christmas to all,just a quick question was anyone else who is undergoing fec treatment warned that one of the side effects of treatment was dvt.The reason I have asked is we have spent 3 hours at the hospital this afternoon went there with a tightening of the arm only to be told I have a blood clot and will need to self inject for three months.This came as a total shock, have done a little research on the net prior to treatment but dont remember reading anything about dvt.The staff at derby royal were fantastic as usual to say it was 4pm christmas eve all the stops were pulled out blood count,ultra sound examination,intravenous anti- biotics given and self injection tution given cant thank everyone enough.
