EC - Any tips for morning fatigue?

Hi all, newbie here……

Diagnosed just over 3 weeks ago (triple negative) and started chemo this week (EC).  Generally haven’t felt too bad, so definitely not complaining, but wondered if anyone had any tips for morning fatigue?  Really feel like I need something to kick start the system in the mornings but have no idea what!

Thanks in advance!

Hi ckaye

EC is generally considered a harsh treatment - they want to hit the ground running! I’m impressed with how you’re dealing with it. I was more or less a zombie through most of my chemo. I don’t have any tips for morning fatigue as I’m working on 24-hour fatigue but I’d say listen to your body. It knows what’s right for you. If you feel like going for a run, do it. If you feel like a duvet day, take it. Just don’t do what I did - feel confident enough to drive when I was feeling crap. I trashed 4 cars in a private car park with only one driver involved - I got an undiagnosed fractured sternum that TN cells adored, as well as losing the confidence to drive until treatment finished!

Some people advise you to push through the fatigue. I suspect they’ve never personally experienced chemo-induced fatigue which is beyond comprehension sometimes!

I hope the rest of your treatment remains as manageable and you get that all-clear asap xx
